James Stanislaw, Executive Director and Founder, is a seasoned entrepreneur, manager, attorney and author. As a youth, he studied in Hong Kong, Thailand, England and Germany, gaining broad experience in different approaches to curriculum and developing a lifelong commitment to learning.
In addition to over 20 years of experience advising start-up and non-profit clients on strategic, business development and tax issues, James organized several nonprofits and volunteered with the New York-based Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.
He recently served as Chief Operating Officer of BrainCo, a Silicon Valley entertainment software start-up, where he secured seed funding and built key strategic alliances with OEMs and international communications companies. Before working at BrainCo, James founded a successful legal publishing company and law practice.

James holds an LLM in taxation from New York University, a JD, with honors, from Santa Clara University, and a BA in sociology from SUNY. He is a member of the California, New York State and US Tax Court Bars and is certified in taxation law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. James is fluent in Thai and German.
