Lee Mahon Bio

Lee Mahon has extensive experience, awards and publications in the field of education. She began her teaching career as a first-grade teacher and subsequently taught at every elementary grade level. Lee served as a principal, assistant principal, education officer, director of instructional services, and director of support services for the San Francisco Unified School District. She was formerly the Director of the Educational Administration and Masters Degree Program at Santa Clara University, and taught courses at the School of Counseling Psychology and Education.

Lee has also maintained her own consulting firm for over 20 years, focusing primarily in the areas of civil rights, executive searches, strategic planning, management training, and trends analysis. She is a successful grant writer and researcher. Lee is currently a member of the mentoring faculty at the School of Educational Leadership and Change at the Fielding Graduate Institute.

She serves on an education task force working on curriculum and performance or behavioral standards for grades K-12. Lee received her BA, MA, and administrative and teaching credentials from San Francisco State University, and her EdD degree from the University of San Francisco.
